As suggested by one of our members (Kimberly), and identified as a favorite read on several of your introductions,  Lean In - Women, Work, and The Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg seems like the next logical choice for the group. Don't worry guys, I hear it's a fantastic read whether your a man or woman.

Here are some questions to help lead (let me know if you have any suggestions for this):

  • What was your greatest take-away from the book?
  • What actionable items have you given yourself as a result?
  • Is there anything that you disagreed with?
  • What books have you read that were similar?
  • Any additional Thoughts?

Discussion notes are posted below in the comments section. Please include your thoughts on the questions above in the comments section below if you're reading along and can't make the meeting. Additionally, If you have any questions or comments regarding the book or meeting, please feel free to start the discussion below.

Here is the Eric Schmidt interview with Sheryl that we found to be a great addition to the book:

A couple books were mentioned during the  meeting that seemed really interestng and relevant to the discussion:

I Don't Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson - Amazon Description: "Delightfully smart and heartbreakingly poignant, Allison Pearson’s smash debut novel has exploded onto bestseller lists as “The national anthem for working mothers..."

Quiet by Susan Cain - Amazon Description: "At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion..."
